At the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), you may not find ARM in the exhibitor guide or directories. That seems ironic, given how pervasive ARM will be on the show floor. From mobile devices, cameras, and portable gaming consoles to smart TVs and set-top boxes, ARM Powered® products will be everywhere at CES, demonstrating the vast ARM ecosystem of partners. We have over 1000 partners that we collaborate with to deliver thousands of ARM technology-based products to the market daily. Each year, ARM partners showcase hundreds of new products at CES. How can you find these products? Well, if you own a smartphone, more than likely you are already using one – more than 95% of smartphones and tablets are powered by ARM technology. But we don’t stop there: more than 80% of digital cameras and 70% of smart TVs are based on ARM technology. In fact, over 125 ARM Powered products ship every second of every day, so finding us at CES is that easy. For a preview of the latest ARM Powered gadgets check out our ARM Holiday Gadget Guide 2012.
This year, we wanted to make it more fun to find ARM Powered products at the show by holding a “Where’s ARM at CES?” challenge. Now using the word ‘challenge’ is a bit of a stretch since you probably couldn’t throw a stone at CES without hitting an ARM technology-based product.
Find products, take pictures, tweet about them, and you could win some of those cool devices. Contest prizes include:
Sphero Ball, Kodak Playsport Digital Camera ZX5, Roku XD 1080p Streaming Player, Google Nexus 7 tablet, Sony Google TV, Nike Fuel Band, Kindle Fire e-reader, Nintendo 3DS, Pebble watch, OR Samsung Chromebook
The contest is easy to play. Here’s how:
1. Snap a photo of your favorite ARM Powered product with your mobile device.
2. Post the photo to your Twitter account.
3. You must include the device name and location at CES.
4. Be sure to include #WheresARM in the post text to be counted.
How and what do I win?
There will be three daily random drawings for those that have submitted a photo that day. Enter each day to win more prizes*! We’ll also be doing hourly drawings for additional ARM swag.

Jeff Chu, Mobile Computing Director at ARM, has been on the forefront of ultra mobile computing for over 10 years now. From webpads to smart displays to UMPC there has always been the criticism that it's not a real PC. Well, now with smartphones sales exceeding PCs and tablet shipments blowing by 10M on the way to 100M, the computing world has flipped and low power mobile products are the preferred way to consume content, communicate and interact with the web. To quote Victor Hugo, “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.”
