Join Cypress & ARM for PSoC World Online Developer’s Conference Dec 12-13

As embedded developers’ time and travel budgets becomes even more precious, it can sometimes be a challenge to carve out time to attend trade shows or conferences to catch up on the latest tools, skills and technical training.

PSoC World Online 2012 is a place where you can learn new design skills, train for credit, browse the booths of PSoC customers and technology partners, and engage in live chat and Q&A throughout the conference with an All-Star assembly of architects and designers from inside and outside Cypress.

Join me and the nearly 10,000 other registrants for the free training conference directly from your home or office. I’ll be available throughout the day in the Networking Lounge and the Exhibit Hall. Just look for CY_John.Weil and send me a message.

PSoC World features more than six hours of in-depth technical training in Chinese, Japanese and English, with real-time broadcasts in all major geographies worldwide. Our Exhibit Hall includes hundreds of videos, demos and documentation you can zip up and download to your take-away event “briefcase.” ARM, Arrow, Macnica and other vendors will be available to help you simplify your supply chain, go wireless, or help you develop your next custom, leading-edge, PSoC-based product.

Think an executive keynote is boring by definition? At PSoC World, we have T.J. Rodgers, Cypress’s President and CEO, talking about PSoC from his perspective as a PSoC customer. T.J. has a passion for winemaking, and has combined his scientific principles and methods with Cypress technology at his Clos de la Tech winery in California’s Santa Cruz Mountains. In this keynote, he will showcase how Cypress technology is used in the winemaking process at the University of California at Davis, a world-renowned leader in winemaking and viticulture. T.J. will review the unique design problems posed by the UC Davis winery project, and how Cypress’s PSoC technology was able to solve these problems.

Tom Lantzsch, Executive Vice President of Strategy for ARM, will discuss “Intelligence Everywhere.” He will review the explosion of power-efficient, smart MCUs in embedded systems. Greg Provenzano, Arrow’s Vice President, Global Engineering, and Rachel Black, Corporate Supplier Manager will team up to examine the increasing sophistication of embedded application development.

Thanks, and I hope to see you at the inaugural PSoC World 2012 Developer’s Conference!

John Weil, Director of PSoC Marketing and Applications, Cypress, has over 14 years of embedded microcontroller development experience. He is fascinated with building mixed signal embedded devices as single chip solutions enabling tomorrow's cutting edge products. When he's not working on the next generation PSoC technology, he's playing with electronics he purchases off Kickstarter keeping in touch with the future of products.
