ARM at National Electronics Week: mbed Robot Racing, ARM Speedcuber and more

National Electronics Week (NEW:UK) the UK’s premier electronics trade exhibition (NEW:UK) will take place 12 – 13 April at the NEC Pavilion, the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham UK and will introduce a showcase of cutting-edge technology that is both fun and educational. Stop by the ARM stand 441 to take your turn at the mbed Robot Racing challenge, see the ARM Rubik’s Speedcuber in action, and get connected at the internet zone.

mbed Robot Racing Challenge
ARM is challenging NEW:UK attendees to test their development and racing skills at the mbed Robot Racing challenge. Competitors will work against the clock to optimize and race mbed-powered robots, controlled over Bluetooth by an Andro...

Achieving predictable system performance with CoreLink NIC-301

Performance analysis tools help to optimize interconnect and system design. Despite the continuous integration of more and more applications into a single device we all want the most optimized system. But even more critical is knowing that your SoC design will achieve the ‘must have’ performance to run those ‘must have’ apps for your product to succeed. As systems become more complex the use of simple spread-sheet analysis is not enough to analyze the performance of dynamic application workloads on a resource-shared architecture.

More and more, architects are using system-level design methods to predict system performance earlier in the design cycle. This is valuable at the technical and organizational level for investigating the feasibility of new electronic products and enables new SoC designs to meet their performance objectives while avoiding the risk and cost of over-design.

The methodology facilitates the early collaboration of system architects, software developers and hardware designers and ARM works closely with its partners to ensure the ARM Interconnect can be configured to meet these challenges. The CoreLink NIC-301 Network Interconnect with its advanced QoS capability is a highly configurable and highly programmable piece of systems IP for on-chip connectivity of processors and peripherals w...

Embedded World: Driven by Innovation of ARM Partners

One of the best parts of being on the ARM Connected Community team is traveling to tradeshows to see the new products the ARM Partners have created. Embedded World 2011 (EW2011) has been exciting with all the new ARM Partner announcements. Let me highlight some of my travels through EW2011 with NVIDIA, Toradex, Marvell, Freescale, ...

Hold the Front Page! ARM Partners News Avalanche at Embedded World!

The ARM Connected Community stole the front page yesterday at Embedded World, as well as pages two, three and four with an avalanche of news and new ARM processor-based products.

On top of announcements from Monday were Fujitsu, NXP and Keil, and yesterday we saw more hot news announcements from Xilinx, Microsoft, Texas Instruments and ...

ARM Ecosystem Gets Smart at Embedded World

The strapline of this year’s Embedded World event in Germany is “It’s a Smarter World” and appropriately enough the ARM ecosystem’s representation at the show is going to be smarter than the King of Smartland wearing a T-shirt saying “I’m Smart”.

The conference segment of the event has more than 14 ARM focussed presentations and workshops from ARM and our Partners including Freescale, IAR, Ittiam, Hitex and ...
