Hurry up and register for the ARM Software Sessions at ARM TechCon3 on Thursday, Oct 22 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. A Pegatron Nettop will be given to the first 80 pre-registered attendees who attend the sessions.
ARM Software Series
Session 1: Getting to Know Your Pegatron Nettop
Thursday, Oct 22 10:00am -11:00am Presented by Philippe Robin
Ballroom G
This session will give an overview of resources and options available when developing natively on ARM. Pegatron Cortex-A8 based platforms running Ubuntu will be used as a case study, presenting the community development process as well as areas of optimizations, which are specific to each platform, and how these are handled in Linux/Ubuntu.
Session 2: ARM v7 Architecture
Thursday, Oct 22 11:00am - 12:00pm
Ballroom G
An in-depth overview of the ARMv7 Architecture features, with exploration into what is possible given the dynamic instruction set capabilities.
Session 3: Application Development
Thursday, Oct 22 2:00pm - 3:00pm
Ballroom G
An in-depth overview of native and cross-compilation options, with a focus on Scratchbox development
Session 4: Android Development on ARM
Thursday, Oct 22 3:00pm - 4:00pm Presented by Dave Butcher
Ballroom G
This session will show how best to use ARM platform when developing for Android using the NDK (Native Development Kit) to make full use of your CPU. It will take a simple processing intensive Image application and show how to improve performance by moving from a pure Android version, to native C, optimized assembler and finally to a high performance NEON implementation.
